Power Charge :

This is the classic Power Charge, during which you gain power quickly, in order to use your Super moves.
Focus Hammer :

This move is a variation to Street Fighter 4's Focus Attack. Hold both buttons to charge the move, release them to perform it. Here are Focus Hammer's various features :
- Repels projectiles. You need to release the buttons at the right time to repel the projectile. Works on single non super projectiles.
- Chargeable for Hyper Armor (1 hit). You still lose life when hit though.
- Can be Dash Cancelled, during charge as well as during strike. This allows you to dash the moment you hit your opponent with Focus Hammer, and follow quickly with other attacks.
High Counter :
+ or + or + when guarding an attack (Ground).
This is the high version of Zero Counter. Vegeta counters the opponent's attack and hits him with a Rising Knee attack, sending him in the air.
Low Counter :
+ or + or + when guarding an attack (Ground).
This is the low version of Zero Counter. Vegeta counters the opponent's attack and trips him with a Sliding Kick, making him fall on the ground.
Air Punch Counter :

This is the Punch version of Aerial Zero Counter. Vegeta counters the opponent's attack in the air, and performs a powerful Smash Punch, sending the opponent far away.

Vegeta grabs his opponent's chest and creates an explosion, sending the opponent away.
Suplex :
+

Vegeta grabs his opponent and performs a German Suplex, crushing the opponent to the ground. This move allows to switch sides.

Vegeta's Crouching Strong Punch sends the opponent flying in the air, allowing for Aerial Combos, as in the Versus series.
Kick Combo :
(after s.MP or s.MK)
A combo extender, performable after a successful first Standing Medium attack.
Aerial Punch Combo :

A combo extender, performable after a successful first Aerial Medium attack.
Dash Elbow :
(when landing from back dash)
Surprise attack, allowing Vegeta to dash quickly towards the opponent and start a combo, as he lands from a back dash.
Sliding kick :
+

A low attack that can catch the opponent off guard as Vegeta runs to them. Sends the opponent in the air, allowing some juggling. Can be cancelled to from (EX) Machine Gun Temper.
Piston Kick :
(in the Air)
Regular Aerial Strong Kick. Grounded opponents will fall when hit by Piston Kick. Aerial opponents will be sent to the ground and made to bounce, allowing for juggling. The bouncing is only triggered once in the same combo.

Vegeta has a bunch of moves that will work only against compatible characters, to give more of a fullgame "feeling".
Dash Collision :
Compatible against : Goku Z2, Vegeta Z2, Gohan Z2, Awoken Ichigo by Storm-Ex, Alucard by Dope, Yellow Suika by Veanko (Bluestreak by Diepod & Jesuszilla).
Run against a running opponent, and the characters will grab each other and struggle. Smash the buttons as fast as possible, and the winner will throw his opponent.
Beam Collision :
Compatible against : Goku Z2, Vegeta Z2, Yellow Suika by Veanko, Combo Stickman by March.
When the opponent performs his Lv2 Super Beam, press F+2P during the superpause to trigger a Beam Counter (provided Vegeta has 2 powerbars and has control). From there, both characters will launch their beam at the same time and have them collide. Smash the buttons as fast as possible to win the struggle. Hold Start to dump power into the beam and take the advantage over the opponent.
NB : This move is not available in Simul mode.
Optional animations :
There are a few other optional animations which you can include in your characters to make them compatible with Vegeta Z2 :
- Flip Knockout : When hit by Bomber Kick. Opponent goes flying in the air, flipping backwards (anim 5937).
- Final Flash Fatality : GetHit state fading to black when killed by Final Flash (anim 5941 & 5942).
If you wish to add some compatibility with Vegeta to some of your characters, please head to the tutorial section in Goku Z2's readme. To add compatibility with POTS' Vega intro, please head to this section.

Vegeta has a lot of combos in his arsenal, and this is his main weapon to win fights.
- All basics can be chained from Light to Medium to Hard, or from Light to Hard, with any combination of kicks and punches.
- Standing light attacks link to crouching light punch.
- Standing Strong Kick (s.SK) can be linked into itself up to 3 times. The 3rd hit knocks the opponent down.
- During Aerial Light Kick (a.LK), you can hold the kick button so Vegeta stays in attack position, to ease hitting the opponent.
- Piston Kick (a.SK) bounces an airborn opponent to the ground, allowing some juggling. It makes the opponent bounce only once in a single combo though, to avoid cheapness.
- All the specials can be chained into from most basic attacks.
- All the supers can be chained into from at least one special attack.
Here are a few combos you can try. The combos are simplified on purpose, and you can probably mix them for longer strings.
- Marvel Style Combo (MSC) : s.LP, s.MP, s.MK, c.SP, jump, a.LP, a.MP, a.MP, a.SK.
- MSC, land, Run, Sliding Kick, Bakuhatusha.
- MSC, land, Run, Sliding Kick, s.SK, Galactic Gunfire.
- MSC with Vegeta in left corner, Final Flash.
- Focus Hammer, Hit and Dashback Cancel, Dash Elbow, s.MP, Bakuhatsuha Lv1/2/3.
- s.LK, s.MK, s.MK, s.SP, Wolverine Flip Forward, Wolverine Dashing Elbow, Bakuhatsuha Lv1/2/3.
- Ki Blast 1, Ki Blast 2, EX Machine Gun Temper, Galick Ho.
- Machine Gun Temper, Galick Ho, Chou Galick Ho.
Strategy Guide:
It is important you experiment yourself with Vegeta's combos and learn how to use him properly. Luckily for you, C.A.N wrote a short strategy guide explaining Vegeta's main strengths and weaknesses, so you can better understand how he should be played. Have fun!

Palettes :
Vegeta has a huge number of palettes available for you to choose from. As browsing through all the palettes can be tedious, you will find in the palettes folder an archive named "Palette Chart" containing all the palettes in GIF format, for you to choose easily which palettes you want to use.
Configuration file :
In Vegeta Z2's root folder, there is a config.txt file in which you can set some preferences :
- You can choose which voice you want to use : English (Mick Lauer), English (Chris Sabbat) or Japanese.
- You can choose to use either solid or transparent FX.
- You can choose which projectile FX to use during Focus Hammer.
- You can choose which Super Background to use when you kill your opponent with a Super move.
- You can change Rage Gauge's axes so it fits with your lifebars better.
- You can set your age to get access to NSFW bonus material.

- x (Mick Lauer voice only) : Vegeta answers his scouter and talks to Bulma or some random person.
- b : Vegeta shoots the screen, James Bond style.
- y : Saibamen come out from the ground and laugh with Vegeta at the opponent.
- c or z: Vegeta turns his back to the opponent (Shin Buthouden winpose).

Additional portraits :
Vegeta has 3 big portraits in his SFF file. Choose the one you prefer, using Fighter Factory to modify the SFF.
Default portrait is number 9000,1. The bonus portraits are numbered "9000,1233" and "9000,1234".
Midnight Bliss :
Vegeta has 2 Midnight Bliss animations. However, due to the impossibility to make it configurable, you will have to select the one you wish to use by hand.
Open files/Vegeta.air and search for [Begin Action 9020]. Exchange it with animation 90200 if you want to use the alternative version. To do this, just rename [Begin Action 9020] to [Begin Action 90200] and vice-versa.
Xavier_Broli's Art :
You will find in this link all the art Xavier_Broli did for Vegeta, helping Balthazar with animations.
Youtube videos :
You can find many Youtube videos featuring Vegeta Z2 VS various opponents. The easiest way to find some of them is to go directly to Balthazar's Youtube Channel, where you'll fine various videos featuring all the Z2 cast. Among these videos, you'll find :
- A teaser video showcasing Vegeta's movelist.
- A nice combo video of Vegeta.
